LKRRate.com was built for one reason: Sri Lankans and their families abroad deserve to see every bank's exchange rate side by side, without hunting through 16 different websites.
Whether you're sending money home from the Gulf, receiving a salary from the UK, or a tourist figuring out where to exchange your dollars — the difference between the best and worst bank can be thousands of rupees per transaction. That information should be free, fast, and accurate.
What we do
- Fetch exchange rates from all major Sri Lankan banks twice daily (09:45 and 14:15 Sri Lanka time)
- Show buying and selling rates, TT and cash, in one table
- Highlight the best rate for each currency so you don't have to calculate it yourself
- Store every snapshot — building a free historical record of LKR exchange rates
What we don't do
- We are not affiliated with any bank
- We do not earn referral fees from banks
- We never guarantee rates — always confirm with your bank before transacting
